My name is Helene, and I live in London. I set up this site because two years ago I discovered a few plastic surgery discussion forums on the Internet but the problem I found with these sites is that the person who runs them is usually sponsored by a plastic surgeon so you never really get an impartial opinion.

I see nothing wrong with wanting to look the best you possibly can. There are so many tried-and-tested procedures out there these days that if there is anything about your appearance you would like to change or enhance then I really think you should go right ahead.

I first had plastic surgery five years ago. At the time I had no idea what to do or where to go. None of my friends were thinking about having surgery so trying to find out about all the different types of treatments and procedures on offer and track down a surgeon who was right for me was a pretty daunting and lonely experience. Looking back, I wish I'd had the opportunity to talk to other people who were going through the same experience or who had already been through the process and could offer advice.

Having undergone successful surgery my goal is to help others prepare for their cosmetic procedures by sharing my own personal experience, and for other board member to share theirs.

Gaining the best possible results from aesthetic surgery requires careful selection. It is certainly better to have no surgery than inappropriate surgery. Not all procedures are suitable for all patients and no one surgeon is suitable for all patients therefore it is impossible to offer anything more than very general advice to people.
