Well the deed is done! I can't quite believe that its over and my healing journey has now begun. The lead up to surgery was scary but exciting - although I was so worried, I was also certain that I so needed to have the surgery in order to feel better about myself and to raise my self esteem. I was also confident in the surgeon I had chosen - but worry still seeps in.

I was given a premed and within 5 mins I just fell asleep, woke slightly when being wheeled to thRead More...

3 weeks later...

My sad face looks younger, happier and more importantly natural, not plastic. My scars are healing nicely and I can not recommend the Laderma clinic in Prague more!. It was scarey and daunting, I was terrified I might look awful and false, but I'm so happy with the results.. amazing surgeon, amazing staff and fabulous care. :-) I feel amazing..!!

No going back!

My countdown has begun and time is ticking away. I have my surgery just a few days away now for upper and lower blephs and lower facelift. I have confidence in my surgeons ability but I am still experiencing great anxiety in the lead up to the day. It has been difficult the past 2 weeks when questions and doubts have been playing on my mind as my PS has been away on holiday and I must save my questions for the morning of the surgery- I have a list....
1. Will the Read More...

Facelift.. Day 11

Well, 11 days post op and I feel great. My bruising has almost completely gone and the swelling too!! I look very natural and my scars as so tiny I can barely see them myself. :-)
Its a major decision to have a face lift, you shouldn't do it lightly, so do some research before hand. Make sure you trust your surgeon and research them first. I would definately recommend Laderma in Prague. Dr Cerna and her team have been amazing!!!

My story so far

Hi

Im 6 days post op at Laderma clinic in beautiful Prague.. having just had facelift with smass. Dr Cerna was my plastic surgeon.

Im still a bit swollen and uncomfortable at present, but can already go out without being
too obvious as long as my hair is down. Hardly any bruising to my face at all, a little under my chin but easily hidden.

I priced this op in UK, at a clinic in Chester.. they wanted £7500 and they had a woman wRead More...

At first I have to tell you all, that I am Dutch and even though I can speak English easy, the writing part will be difficult for me. So please excuse me ( in front) for the bad English writing. I still hope you will understand it anyway :)

Thursday 6 may 2010

Today is the day of the surgery. I will have a Macslift, because the skin on my jaws is drooping... Not very much, I can still wait for another few years, but I don't want to!
I want to do it now, wenn nobody will seeRead More...

Hi

I did start my blog the other day but I must of done something wrong!

I had my implants done on Tuesday and I was little worried with how swollen they became so I had a look at other posts on here and what they experienced. It put my mind at ease, reading that what I was experiencing was pretty normal, so I thought it might be a good idea to start a blog on my recovery etc.

I had my appointment at about 10am on Tuesday and it was pretty straight forwaRead More...

Invisalign

I had Invisalign treatment at the Q clinic. The price they are advertising is very deceptive! They demanded payment up front and then retainers, whitening and adjustments were extra. In the end it cost more than some other clinics with more experience are offering! and it turns out they will only move the front teeth and do not look at the teeth as a whole. (i guess it is cheaper for them!)

I know Q clinic have started a lot of cases because of the cheap offer, but there are Read More...

Face and Neck Lift Diary

I thought I had done quite a bit of research before booking my surgery on 16th December. Since discovering this site, and a couple of other forums like it, I now realise how little I actually knew (gulp!).

Whenever I have handed my hard earned cash over to builders, mechanics, electricians etc, I never felt the need to have them explain the technical ins and outs of their particular crafts - yeah whatever... how much, how long will it take and when can you start?

Harri's Consultations

At 55 I decided it was time to think about having a facelift. I also thought I would try and have my nose revised after a series of botched ops in my 20s, 30, and 40s (pick a number between 7 and 10 - I lost count but the last one was 15 years ago).

My husband wanted me to have it all done at once because he hates me being out of action as anything to do with housework really stresses him out. Actually he didn't want me to have anything done at all but that's another stoRead More...

Harri's Facelift Diary

Once upon a time in a faraway forum I posted a daily diary about my facelift with Basim Matti at the Harley Street Clinic. If you missed it there do not worry because here it is again!

On 26 Jan 2005 I had facelift, neck lift, upper/lower blephs. This was 14 weeks after a complicated rhinoplasty revision with ear and rib grafts, also with Basim Matti. I’ve been rebuilt!

Wed (Day 1) - The Operation

I got to the clinic at 10am, reception wRead More...
