I caught an infection...

Hi everyone,
I came home from hosp last night after being back in for 2 days with an infection of some sort (they arent sure where it is exactly). Had 'rigours' (I think thats how you say it), temp of 104, vomiting & diaorreah. A wonderful experience.
Anyway, my temp stayed down for almost 24hours so they let me out with enough antibiotics to floor a bull elephant. Have lost half a stone in the week following my tt. Im really lightheaded and weak with no appetite. Im swelling up quite a lot too, and it seems worse when I sit with my feet up. I still cant stand upright yet but the swelling is making me double over really badly. My back is killing me!! I should have known it was too good to be true when I felt really good the 1st couple of days after the op :).I kind of feel like my MR has something to do with my lack of appetite, its so tight that even when I am peckish I only have to eat very little to feel full, if that makes sense.
Any advice or wise words would be much appreciated. Thanx in advance

Hi Nikki , i am so sorry you got an infection but am glad you seem to be on top of it with all your antibiotics. take care and let your body do all the healing it needs to do. I lost my apetite as well post TT but i can assure you it comes back with a vengance

Hi Nikki, sorry to hear about the infection :( I caught an infection in the incision and had the same symptoms as you but the antibiotics cleared it up quite fast so hopefully you will feel better soon! The lightheadedness and loss of appetite could be due to the type of antibiotics too. I had to try a few different kinds as the tablets I was first given were giving me side effects so if you feel the same, maybe contact your doctor and let him/her know. The appetite will come back :]
