Skin Culture Skin Peels

Postby amycakes » Sat Apr 05, 2008 6:31 pm

I am thinking about going for one of the peels from Skin Culture. I want to try the 3000 one but would like to know if anyone has tried it?
What is the peeiling like? Is it really bad? I cant take any time off work you see, and I dont want to frighten my kids!

Would it be better to get it done before or after botox?

Thanks so much for helping me with this

Hi there,

I have done the 4000, and honeychild (I think) has too. (I know at least one other poster has tried that and I think it was her. She had great results too. Spencer was thinking of buying one too)

The results are very good but it depends on which peel you get and what you are hoping to achieve/rectify. It tends to take around 8 days from start to finish and you may well have to take some time off work. I know it's not fun but it cant be done any other way unless you are ok with ppl seeing you.

If you do a quick search for skin culture, you'll se I've written quite a lot about it. The process is basically the same for all peels except that with the 3000 peel, you only get three pots which you use on three consecutive days (one on each day) and then you use the creams provided to sooth your skin and help it peel off. It stings when you apply the peel formula but it's not unbearable. After that, your skin starts to feel very tight and subsequently your skin will start to peel.

If you can't take any time off at the moment, and want to take advantage of the 25% offer that's on the website at the moment, buy it and then use it when you do have time. It has a shelf-life of approximately 18 months from when it is delivered.

No idea about the botox but if I were you, I would see what kinds of lines you are left with once the peel is done, and THEN have it done as the peel will help diminish lines and wrinkles. The best peel is the 4000...

Anything else, just ask.

xx

i wan tto do that too but i'm worried the 400 will be too strong. perhaps its better to start with 2000 and see how it goes?
do you need lesss recovery time with the 2000?

HoneyChild and I took the same time to stop peeling and the first time I used a SkinCulture peel, I used the equivalent of a 1000 peel whereas she used a 4000 peel. Everyone is different of course.

mine just arrived today... i'm doing the patch test as we speak but can't say i really feel anything like the burning u r meant to get.

i'm using it for scarring, so i can let you know how it goes, from what i can work out it works better on some people than others.

well my skin is generally nice, altho where my t zone is i have some small scarring, so i ordered a 3 days peel but i am goin g to do some of it more on those bad areas, and less on the good. i read about this somewhere else, so it will essentially be a 4 day peel. after testing it today u def need the 4 day to get any result i think, so far nothing happening, i'm SO impatient!! :newsncoffee:
i bet i will be posting my progress everyday as i'll be stuck inside looking hideous!!

yes exactly, i had enlarged pores around the nose/cheek, medium size i guess. hope it wll shrink them back!

i have read reports on-line that people who have bad skin now, find it clears up their spots. as it unblocks all the pores.
you might want to try it for this then see afterwards in 6 months or so if u want to repeat it, to get desired results
